What it actually is

Regular filming visits across the life of a build, cut into short milestone films as you go and a full story at handover. Groundworks, frame, envelope, fit out, completion. Each visit is a couple of hours on site and produces something you can send out that week.

Who it is for

Main contractors reporting to a client or a board, developers keeping investors and buyers warm through a long build, and anyone who reaches practical completion and realises there is no record of how it got there.

What you get

A short film per milestone, ready to send to stakeholders or post, plus a longer completion film that uses the whole archive. You also end up owning a library of footage of a building that no longer exists in that state, which is worth more than people expect at handover and at bid stage.

Why it is worth starting early

The most valuable footage is the stuff you cannot go back for. Once the frame is clad and the walls are up, the structure is gone for good. Clients who start at groundworks always get a better completion film than clients who call us at practical completion.

FAQ

Questions.

What developers, contractors and architects ask us about on site construction films.

(001)

How often do you visit site for a progress film?

+
Monthly suits most builds. Fast moving programmes or short projects sometimes want fortnightly, and a long civils job can work at six weekly. We agree the rhythm at the start and hold visits in the diary so nothing gets missed.
(002)

Can you film without disrupting the site?

+
Yes. We are self sufficient on site, we work around your programme rather than asking anyone to stop, and we are used to working alongside trades. Most of the time people forget we are there.
(003)

Do progress films work out cheaper than one off visits?

+
Regular coverage generally works out better value per visit than booking each one separately, because the planning, the inductions and the edit setup are all done once rather than every time.
(004)

What happens to the footage at the end of the build?

+
You get the finished films, and the raw footage remains available for the completion film and for bids. Clients regularly come back years later for footage of a stage of the build nobody else recorded.
(005)

How much does construction video cost?

+
Site visits start from £350 plus VAT. What moves the price from there is the size of the site, how long we need on it, how many services you want on the same visit and how much editing the finished films need. Photography, FPV drone flythroughs and interviews can all be added to a visit rather than booked as separate days, which is why regular clients get more for the same money. Send over the scheme and the dates and you will have a written quote back within a day.
